Polyethylene

LDPE provides an economical way to protect non UV affected products.
 
Low density polyethylene (LDPE) is the most widely used, low cost coating material for decorative wirework.

 It gives a good gloss finish, is slightly waxy to the touch, has no toxicity or taint.

It is ideal for use on refrigerator shelves, clothes airers, dish drainers and many kitchen wire products.

LDPE is not, however, usually recommended for outdoor applications, as it can be affected by the ultra-violet rays of sunlight.
